What is the Adirondacks?
What is the Adirondacks?
For those of you who don't know the Adirondack park is a state park in northeastern New York. It is bigger then many national parks put together and some states! The Adirondacks is different then many parks because there are towns in the park. These towns are cozy and have an Adirondack feel. The park get millions of visitors per year (i think around 5 million) yet there are very secluded parts especially up near Ausable. There are 46 (well 47) peaks over three thousand eight hundred feet. There are also many other hiking trails including Northville- Placid, smaller peaks and the trans Adirondack route. The Adirondacks is also home to many animals including moose! Water is abundant here the Hudson runs through the eastern border of the park and there are thousands of lakes and streams. Overall the Adirondack park is a great place to be for anyone who loves the outdoors!
